| Razor Entertainment was founded by two working musicians—Christopher Ames and Steve Rodriguez. Working together, they have created a full-service entertainment booking company that specializes in the presentation of live music. As players, both Ames and Rodriguez play frequently in many of Razor’s most popular groups, including “The Chris Copeland Big Band”, “Soul Street”, “Harlem Funk” and the “Copeland- Chase Society Band”. Razor Entertainment has been providing quality ensembles and headline entertainment for over 20 years. During that time, we have proudly been associated with properties such as Boyne Resorts, The Horizon Conference Center (Saginaw), Grand Traverse Resort, Leelanau Sands Casino, Crooked Tree Performing Arts Center (Petoskey), The Dime Building (Detroit), The Renaissance Center, The Grand Hotel, Mission Point Resort (Mackinaw Island) Stafford’s Restaurants, Bay Harbor Yacht Club, Birchwood Country Club, Traverse City Country Club, Charlevoix Country Club, The Dogwood Center, Compuware, Navy Pier (Chicago), The Johnny Mercer Auditorium (Savannah), The Karmanos Foundation and numerous private events.
